I am a graduate of Texas A & M University with a degree in Agricultural Science. I am certified to teach Ag, Voc. Ag. Coop, Horticulture, Life/Earth Science, and secondary Special Education. I was a member of the class of 1975, but I didn't graduate until 1991. I was married to David L. Cantey on June 9, 1973 and I have a son and a daughter. My son, John, was born 7/17/78 and is a graduate of Texas A & M. He is married and he and his wife live in Bryan where he is the Tire Manager for Firestone. My daughter, Jennifer, was born 7/13/83 and is a graduate of Sam Houston State University and is the Production Supervisor for KBTX Television in Bryan. She is married to Troy Canterberry and they have a year old son named Luke that is my pride and joy. I have taught at Caldwell High School for 16 years and dearly love it here. I have had the wonderful experience of working with great people and the opportunity to work with some exceptional children. I have seen the joy of success and the sadness of loosing a student. My hope is that I can influence young people to stand up for what is right and to always do their best. |
